I really do. I'm the girl who would have taken home every kitten in front of the grocery store if my mom would let me. I would have found a home for every stray dog. Right now we have 2 dogs, one cat, 3 fish, a large lizard and um.....18 TURKEYS.
I love animals. I really do.(did I say that already?) But I am SO OVER the flippin turkeys. The thing is...they're huge now. Like 10 times the size they were when I picked them up at the post office a few weeks ago. And hello, they're birds. Birds are...um, messy. Especially 18 of them cramped in the same cage. They stink. They eat like it's goin out of style. They poop in their water, on the water jug and in their food. They are no longer cute to me. Especially because I am the one cleaning that nasty poop water every day.
If I never see another turkey as long as I live, I'll be happy. Unless it's roasted nicely and sitting on my Thanksgiving Table.
The end.
*What a great response to the Book RAK!! The winner will be announced tomorrow!!*

ok laughing out loud right now thinking about you trying to deal with all those turkeys - well not funny ha-ha but like oh my word - 10 times the size....yeah give me one at thanksgiving and I will be good too - and I'll just take your word for it :)
oh and found lots of books while cleaning out the office this weekend - going to do a few raks too!
Girl... put those birds on your lawn and see wht the neighbors say!!! ROFLOL.
Oh god how can you even eat a roasted turkey after that!!! I think if I had to look after 18 turkeys that would be my sure ticket to being a vegetarian.
I love the title of your blog
I agree...send those birds out on the lawn and then go and mow the lawn... :)
Hope you can set them free on the ranch soon
When do they go to the ranch? I can't even imagine taking care of one turkey ... let alone 18 of them! I don't even like picking up our dog's poop! Hope you have a wonderful day my friend! Kim
